How we made people feel vigilant with DFES by experiencing a house fire

We got busy West Australians
To take a few minutes to check their smoke alarms
By giving them an immersive VR experience demonstrating how quickly a real house fire can engulf their home.

How did they feel afterwards?

Vigilant about checking their smoke alarms. The launch of the experience reached over 1.3 million people -TV (Channels 7,9 & 10) radio (ABC, Mix 94.5) and print (The West). DFES included it as a permanent exhibit at their Heritage and Education Centre. A mobile version reached over 250k people at events, plus a further 800k people have viewed it on YouTube.
